CNVC 2006 Annual Report

During 2006, CNVC saw a great deal of transformation. In the beginning of the rear Gary Baran, CNVC's Executive Director for the previous seven and half years, transitioned out and Jori Manske assumed the role of Interim Director.

Organizational work in 2006 included:

• Strengthening of the culture of NVC in the office through training and commitment to living NVC, and serving the needs of our growing global NVC community
• Establishing the CNVC Leadership Team, which includes Marshall and Valentina Rosenberg, focusing on the functionality needed to support the CNVC mission, vision and aim
• Establishing the Information Technology Committee (ITC) developing an interactive website which can provide more interconnection and ease in sharing information on the various NVC trainings and contributions
• Establishing the Global Coordinating Council (GCC) developing connections and resources for enabling NVC teams to begin and sustain their projects, and to cultivate the availability of NVC project teams as resources in every country of the world by 2017.
• Beginning revision of trainer certification for aligning our work around social transformation in 5 key areas: business and economics, education and parenting, restorative justice, government, and personal liberation

Feedback from around the globe shows continued appreciation of the gift of NVC. A sense of connection and enthusiasm has grown, as well as the applications that are furthering our vision of a world where everyone's needs are addressed compassionately.

Our organization is supported largely by income from training by Marshall Rosenberg, supplemented by income from the sale of educational materials, fees from certified trainers, individual donations, and occasional grants. I expect the role of individual donors and volunteers will continue to be essential in sustaining our organization and enabling us to offer affordable training and materials.
